I’ve been reading too much Dr. Seuss lately I suppose. Liam turned one last month and has a new found fascination with books. “Happy Birthday, Baby” by Dr. Seuss is still reigning at the top of his favorites list. As such, I have the book memorized and can quote it in my sleep. So naturally, I’ve begun speaking and thinking in whimsical, Seussical rhymes.

The above line was the first thing that popped in to my head last Thursday morning as I was getting ready for a much anticipated Living Room installation and styling day for my lovely Little Rock blogger friend and client, Jennifer Maune of Maune Legacy! The excitement that followed lived up to the rhyme – it WAS the day of all days and the best of the best!!

I don’t always get to see the finished results of a completely transformed room since I work in a range of flexible design service formats from consulting, to E-Design and DIY design plans, to Full service interior design. So when I DO have a full service project or installation or styling day add-on to a consulting or DIY project – meaning I get to be a part of the project from beginning to the end – it’s extra special and fun!! To get to personally see my design come to life before my very eyes – there’s just nothing quite like it. It’s my very own “HGTV” reveal moment. I live for install days!

If you’ve been hanging out with us on “the gram” these past few months, you’ve likely seen some behind the scenes of a special DIY Living Room design in the works. I’ve been pumped about this partnership with Jennifer from the start, and it is with the greatest delight I invite you to head over to her inspiring blog for the grand reveal post!!

You know the whole, “It’s not you, it’s me?” line? That’s what I finally had to say when retiring my original website. I loved it so. It was a beautiful site that served us well our first 5 years, for which I am forever grateful. (Pictured below with my first website. Thanks for being you and being with me from the start. Sorry/not sorry you had to go. PS: Thanks Reid Riggan for the photo.)

But during those formative years, I changed, my company grew, technology evolved, and so on. As such, we outgrew it, and it was time to part ways and create something new.

After a few years of dreaming and searching locally and nationally for the right web designer – the clouds parted and affirmative sun rays burst through the day I found Doodle Dog Creative in Austin, TX. It was love at first “site”. (Ha!! No but for real.) Nikki and her team were wonderful at understanding my brand, needs, and vision for the project and did a knock-out job designing and creating this dreamy new site you’ve found yourself in!

There’s lots and lots more I could tell you about all of the intention behind this site, but I’m sure I’ll share more of that down the road. Today, I just want to invite you in with a big warm virtual hug and say, “Welcome!!” I hope you stay awhile and flip through the pages that have been so thoughtfully and creatively laid before you. I hope you learn something new about us (Production Design finally has a home within the site – hey hey!) and soak up some new inspiration.

(Actually, yeah, that’s exactly what’s going to happen! )
