Look-alikes: Glam Living Room

I’ve had this image of a Jan Showers designed living room pinned to my “Living Rooms” Pintrest board for awhile now. Every time I see it it just makes me happy! I absolutely love the bold geometric prints and bright colors – what sophisticated fun.

Using the above image as inspiration, I created a look-alike living room design of affordable options to get a similar result!

Everything on the board totals $2,340. But just think – if you were working with an existing sofa, then you could get everything else for $1,250!

Interview Feature on Wade’s Blog!

Pumpkin Spiced Inspiration

If you’re a coffee lover or Starbucks fanatic like me, you may know that the Pumpkin Spice Latte made its grand return to the Starbucks menu this week, as it does every autumn. (It’s okay to cheer out loud – I did.) Welcome back, PSL! You are my fall in a tall paper cup. PS – I love you.

The below image came from a healthy living blog I stumbled upon recently called Eating Bird Food. It caught my eye because I have and LOVE that adorable coffee mug from Anthropologie! (Except mine has a K. 🙂 To find the $8 Homegrown Monogram Mug with your letter, click here.)

So I was thrilled by the colorful image of my favorite fall drink in my favorite mug, but then was pleasantly surprised as I continued scrolling and went on to read about Brittany’s budget friendly recipe for a Healthy Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte, as it would probably be a good alternative to my usual Starbucks PSL habit. 🙂 So thanks, Brittany! In honor of all of the pumpkin spice-ness beginning this week, which for some marks the true beginning of fall, I bring you color inspiration from Design Seeds revolving around beautiful pumpkin hues. Drink up!

Gasp! I think I just heard a leaf change from green to orange. Maybe it was my imagination. Or maybe fall is really on it’s way!

Guest Post on House of Turquoise!

Good morning and happy September to you all!

Today, I am so incredibly thrilled to be guest posting on one of my all-time favorite blogs, (drum roll, please) House of Turquoise! What a privilege.

The lovely lady behind HOT, miss Erin Olson Moser, is a happy new mama to sweet baby Wesley as of a couple weeks ago. Congrats again, Erin!

Needing to take a little time off with husband and baby, Erin set into place a great line-up of guest posters to fill so she can spend this precious time with her new little family.

Though I was just flabbergasted that she asked me to be among the guest posters, I was truly honored, and had so much fun putting together a special post for HOT.
